Vick Takes Plea Deal

The Virginian-Pilot is reporting that Michael Vick, quite possibly the most overrated quarterback to enter the NFL since Art Schlichter, will plead guilty to felony conspiracy charges in federal court next Monday. The deal, under which Vick will likely do time, apparently allows Vick to avoid additional federal charges arising from his operation of and intimate involvement with a dog fighting operation between 2001 and 2007.

This particular handwriting appeared on the wall last week when a couple of Vick’s co-defendants rolled on him in exchange for favorable consideration from federal prosecutors.

I’d argue Vick’s not just one of the most overrated quarterbacks to enter the NFL; he’s one of the msot overrated players period. He’s done nothing to justify all the hype he’s gotten, and I think he’s going to have a hard time coming back into the NFL once his inevitable suspension/ban is over.

And you’d be arguing correctly, Zach. Vick is more like Art Schlichter and Brian Bosworth combined in the overratedness dept.

    Don’t forget every Packers fan’s favorite…Tony Mandarich!
