Courtesy of our new buds over at Blogging Blue, here’s something that’s long since gone extinct: Dick Cheney speaking rationally about the consequences of invading Iraq. Seems that in 1994 ol’ Dick was convinced that invading was an exceptionally bad idea since it would embroil us in a quagmire.

What’s most interesting about this for me is the fact that invading Iraq all the way to Baghdad was a terrible when a Democrat was President, but once Dubbya took office, it was the best idea ever!
Amen to that, Zach. I’m sure Cheney’s change of heart was the result of deep reflection and had nothing whatsoever with turning Iraq into Halliburtistan. 😀
But… but… 9/11 changed everything! Especially the ability to dupe and/or manhandle the public into doing what’s best for the oil industry under the auspices of what’s good for the country!
